Francine Jean Pierce, age 76, of Lathrup Village, Michigan, passed away on June 18, 2026. Born in Detroit on March 3, 1950, to the late Owen and Mary (Thompson) Pierce, Francine was a deeply devoted matriarch who spent her life caring for her family and serving her community as a dedicated social worker for the State of Michigan. A woman of great warmth and many talents, she brought joy to those around her through her faith at St. Cecilia Church and her passions for gardening, crocheting, and crafting beautiful handmade dolls. She was never married and had no children of her own, but she selflessly raised her cousin Clarice and is lovingly survived by her younger brother, Kevin Pierce, along with a close-knit circle of extended family, friends, and her loyal pet dog.  A funeral service will be held at Christ the King Church (20800 Grand River, Detroit), preceded by a private family hour, with interment immediately following at Woodlawn Cemetery under the compassionate care of Thompson Funeral Home.
