Harold "Pete" Edward Davis, Jr.

With heavy hearts, we at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of our long-time caretaker at our Greenfield Chapel, Harold "Pete" Edward Davis, Jr., on May 14, 2023. He was 66 years old.

Pete was born on March 22, 1957 to the late Harold Davis, Sr. and Olga Stchekine.  He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1976.

Pete was a beloved member of our Thompson Family, and he will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and the greater community. He was a loyal and valuable member of our community, willing to help and be there for those in need.

Pete was a hard worker, and he took great pride in his work at the Greenfield Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home, and he took great pride in providing a warm and welcoming environment for those who came to grieve.

Pete will be deeply missed by all who know him. He was a true friend and an easy-going and gentle soul. He will be remembered for his smile, his kindness, and his dedication to his work.

Pete leaves to cherish his memory:  his sister Natalie G. Davis of (Scottdale, AZ); cousin Claude Davis Jr. (Detroit, MI), uncles Larry C. Davis (Monroe, LA), Arthur R. Davis (Orlando, FL), Edward L. Davis (Tunica, MS), a brother, Vladimer Stchekine (Farmington Hills, MI), his dearest friend Roderick A. Frierson of (Atlanta, GA ), and countless friends, many who were more like family.

An outdoor memorial service will be at held at Belle Isle Park, at 10:00am on Sunday, June 4th, in Detroit, Michigan.

The gathering site will be lakeside just past Dossin Great Lakes Museum. Park in the first lot past the museum.
